Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Touch Grass app and this website. Using either means you agree to them.

The service

Touch Grass is a screen-time competition: the app approximates your daily device usage via Apple's Screen Time framework and posts daily totals to leaderboards you share with friends. It is a game and a habit tool, not medical, psychological, or professional advice.

Your account

• You need an Apple ID and must be at least 13 years old.
• You're responsible for activity on your account and for the username you choose. Usernames that are offensive, impersonating, or misleading may be reported via Settings or abuse@timetotouchgrass.com and may be reclaimed or removed.

Fair play

• Leaderboards depend on honest data. Tampering with tracking, exploiting bugs to lower your totals, or automating usage manipulation may result in flagged scores, reset streaks, or account removal.
• A day with no reported data counts as the full 1,440 minutes. This is a rule of the game, not a bug.
• Leaving your phone in a drawer all weekend is not cheating. It's the point.

Your content

Reels are rendered on your device from your own stats; you own them and can share them anywhere. Victory reels include friends' usernames and avatars as displayed on your shared leaderboard, share with the judgment you'd want from them.

Acceptable use

Don't abuse the service: no reverse-engineering the anti-cheat, no harassment through usernames or friend requests, no attempts to access other users' data, no use of the service to violate any law.

Availability and changes

The service is provided "as is." Screen-time approximation has known error margins (about ±5 minutes per day); leaderboard numbers are competition scores, not audited records. We may modify or discontinue features, and will give reasonable notice for material changes.

Termination

You can delete your account at any time in Settings, which removes your data per theprivacy policy. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Touch Grass is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
